I’m New to APC

If you are new to the Arkport Presbyterian Church (aka APC), here are a few bits of information that may be helpful for you to get to know who we are.

Your Arrival:

We have a parking lot both beside and behind the church.  There is also street parking available in front of the church.  Click here for directions.

During the school year we have Sunday School for all ages.  We gather together at 9 AM for some singing, then all of us are dismissed to our age-specific Sunday School classes.  Child care is available in the nursery for infants and toddlers so that parents may attend the adult class.

During the summer, we have no Sunday School classes.  However, there are a variety of Bible Studies and Christian Education opportunities available throughout the summer (and throughout the year).

Getting Ready to Worship:

Beginning at 9:30 AM we have a time of fellowship called “Coffee Connection”.  Rest assured, if you are not a coffee drinker, there are other refreshment options.  With cookie and refreshment in hand we connect with one another and get ready for worshiping God together.

Our Worship:

Worship begins at 10 AM.  While appearing (and feeling), quite traditional, our time of worship is reverent, relational, and real!  Utilizing a variety of musical styles, we sing with joyful hearts.  Encountering the Word of God deeply, our pastor speaks and teaches from the Bible with clear and Christ-exalting application.

Just before the sermon we offer a Children’s Message, after which they are dismissed to Junior Church.  And Junior Church is a time where kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade worship and learn together for about 30 minutes.

We also offer child care in our nursery during the worship service.  Care is offered and supervised by caring and capable adults.

After Worship:

Our typical service lasts about 75 minutes.  Afterward, we leave ready to reach the wold with the Gospel and eager to reconnect the next time we are drawn together by the Lord.
